Welcome to MLA College and to the Hydrographic Academy module, EHYD501 – Advanced Nautical Science for Hydrography.

 

Windows computers

  1. Click on the 'Download' button below - this will open a new window with all files you have to download
  2. Download ALL FILES of the module by clicking on the links – it is vital that you fully download each part otherwise the module will not work. You should be able to see the progress of the downloading on the bottom of your browser window.
    Note: on downloading the .exe file you might get a warning (figure below). If that's the case, you must click the 'keep' button

  3. Once all files are fully downloaded, double click the downloaded .exe file. 
  4. Choose where do you want the TLP to be installed, and modify the path accordingly. A good option is to install the TLP  in the desktop (figure below). Click the 'Extract' button
        
  5. Your TLP should be now properly installed inside a folder with the module name
  6. Open the TLP folder and double click the ‘start_here.html’ file – your module will open in your default browser. The figure at the bottom of this page shows how the homepage of the TLP should look like 
  7. If you wish you may now delete the downloaded files from the download folder

Mac computers

  1. Ensure you have ‘Unarchiver’ installed – this is a free piece of software that can be downloaded here
  2. Click on the 'Download' button below - this will open a new window with all files you have to download
  3. Download ALL FILES of the module by clicking on the links – it is vital that you fully download each part otherwise the module will not work. 
    Note: you don't need to download the .exe file as this file is required only for Windows computers 
  4. Once all files are fully downloaded, double click the downloaded .001 file 
  5. The TLP files will be automatically extracted and installed in a folder with the module name 
    Note: the TLP folder will be created inside the download folder (if you want, you can then move it to the desktop for being easily accessible)
  6. Open the TLP folder and double click the ‘start_here.html’ file – your module will open in your default browser. The figure at the bottom of this page shows how the homepage of the TLP should look like 
  7. If you wish you may now delete the downloaded files from the download folder
