Supervisors required for new suite of Masters programmes

MLA College require experienced industry professionals, qualified to at least MSc level, to co-supervise students engaged in a suite of Masters projects in the fields of Hydrography, Meteorology and Navigation. The MSc projects operate across a period of 12 months, and are a great opportunity for potential supervisors to enjoy a fresh challenge, add to their own skill set and make the very best use of their experience in advising the next generation of industry professionals. Supervisors will be remunerated on a per-student basis, and work as part of a supervisory team alongside experienced academic tutors from MLA College.

The MSc projects will be undertaken by part-time distance learning students, generally working in industry and seeking to enhance their qualifications, often in an effort to pursue Chartered Status. Supervisors will not be expected to be continually available to students throughout the period, but instead give ad-hoc guidance and attend more formal supervisory meetings, typically by video conferencing. The process of supervising Masters projects is often a rewarding experience, and a great opportunity to be exposed to new developments in industry.
