Adam Corney, MLA's Business Development Director, will be discussing, how to equalise the pressure: better education for seafarers balanced with improved time and cost effectiveness.

The paper will describe the opportunity that our industry has now been given with the evolution of learning technologies that allows access to a full range of training and education courses to be completed in part-time whilst still working full time in a pressurised sea-going or shore-based role. The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology and its subsidiary MLA College are in the vanguard of this process and real-life case studies will be used to illustrate the opportunity.
